How Will Our Program Help?

Our Sports Injury Rehabilitation Programs provides a comprehensive outline of your injury journey back to full strength.  Through our rehabilitation plans that are designed for you, athletes can regain their strength, mobility, and range of motion, while also improving their performance and reducing the risk of future injuries. Our state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, combined with the expertise of our Exercise Physiologist’s, provide a safe and effective rehabilitation experience that is tailored to each athlete’s needs, goals and interests.

We base our program on the following 3 stages to ensure you have the most optimal road to recovery:

Acute Injury Management
We are there to support you on your journey from day one of your injury. Our outlook is to be involved with your other medical specialists to assist you in making the decision between operative and non-operative management.

Pre and Post Rehabilitation
Each client is delivered a comprehensive, detailed exercise management plan that focuses on range of motion, functionality, mobility, strength, agility and movement correction. The rehabilitation plan begins with an objective and functional assessment to determine current capacity and function. This allows us to create a tailored program for you to reach optimal results. You will be fully supported by our health professionals throughout the sessions and will have access to a software app that displays the program and your progressions.

Return to Sport
As you heal and recover, we want to ensure that you feel confident and ready to get back into the game! Our testing procedure ensures assurance between each phase of the rehabilitation plan, to the important characteristics of your sport including running, team training, change of direction, kicking, hopping and acceleration.

Our testing procedures include the use of our AxIT Assessment Technology.
It is an advanced technology assessment system that can assess both injury and performance. This allows us to assess any muscle and movement including jumping, squat, deadlift, specific sporting biomechanics, and rotational core strength. Furthermore, it assesses the speed of movement, muscle imbalances, peak force, rate of force activation, jump height, injury assessment and sporting performance. I couldn’t recommend Matisse enough! Took the time to listen to every facet of my medical history and was able to make me understand what was happening and how it can be improved. Matisse impresses me with the care and professional approach to my personal aims and objectives and over a period of sessions she devised a suitable programme for me. I particularly enjoy her warm smile, friendly demeanour and positivity. Whilst some of the sessions are hard work her constant encouragement makes it all worthwhile. The excellent gym equipment and friendly environment is a further encouragement for me.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you able to treat an old/recurring sporting injury?

100% we can! Unfortunately re-injury is a common occurrence and occurs because rehabilitation does not include end stage return to sport specific training. We recommend booking in for an initial consultation so we can discuss and treat the root cause as to why there is a recurrence in injury.

Do I need to be an elite athlete to use this program?

This program is for everyone of all levels of sport! The reason why this program is so effective is because it is tailored to you based on the nature of the injury, the type of sport and the level of sport!

Does Medicare cover sports injury rehabilitation?

Medicare may cover sports injury rehabilitation if it is deemed medically necessary and prescribed by a doctor. However, coverage can vary depending on individual plans, so it's important to check with your provider.

How long does the rehabilitation process usually take?

The rehabilitation process can vary depending on the severity and type of injury. It can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months or more for a full recovery. Our team works closely with each athlete to create a personalised plan and set realistic expectations for their recovery timeline.

Can I continue to train while undergoing rehabilitation?

Depending on the injury and individual circumstances, our team may recommend modifications to training or a temporary break from certain activities. We work with each athlete to create a plan that allows for a safe and effective recovery while also minimising disruption to their training and goals.
